A tale of two runs today...with the wind (awesome), and into the wind (ridiculous). I ran the Batterson Lake loop, and on the far side of the lake, up an incline, the wind was roaring in my face--had to be close to 40 mph gusts. I felt a little sluggish at first but picked it up after the first mile. I covered miles 230-234, sponsored by Megan B. (miles 230-233) and Lanita Davis (234). Megan is a student and Lanita a teacher at Rocky Heights Middle School. Thanks Megan and Lanita!
I got a nice message on Facebook today from Becky Kowalski thanking me for my efforts. It's an honor to help Becky and Steve and connect with Chase over the miles, and it's been great to see so many people to offer their support to the Kowalski's.
