I took yesterday off for a beach day in Watch Hill with the family. Today I just finished an awesome 12.2 mile run. It was my best run in months! Apparently grilled seafood washed down with Sangria is an effective way to fuel up the night before for a moderately-long run.
I ran the modified Colchester Half Marathon course from 10:30am to noon. I did the first half in about 49 minutes and the second in 46--the coveted negative split. Even better I had splits of 7:33, 7:33, 7:49, 7:15 and 7:15 coming in. I don't think I need any down time, so it's off to the next family adventure!
I completed miles 924-936, sponsored by Keith Webster (924-929) and Len Gutman (936). Thanks guys, glad to have you in on today's awesome run.
