Aug 6 - Rest Day; Aug 7 - 4.0 Miles Ran

I took Tue off and was back at it on Wed, running 4 miles mid-afternoon in Glastonbury.  The temp was back up in the 80's, but there was a nice breeze so overall it was a comfortable run.  I ran the Griswold to Prospect St. run at a decent clip.

It's really an odd stage of my running currently.  Becky Kowalski is in the process of securing me an entry into the New York City Marathon which is run on Nov. 3.  I really would like to get some serious training in over the next 12 weeks, but I have been keeping my mileage down to stay on track for completion of 1,000 miles on Sept. 1.  As of today, I am right on track, but one long run will put me ahead of pace and necessitate one or more rest days.  Maybe running backwards is the solution!

I completed miles 889-892 on Wed, sponsored by Keith Webster.  That's 15 down, 35 to go for Web.  Thanks for your generosity Web!
