Aug. 23 - 4.2 Miles Ran

Quick post before I try to squeeze a run in before our family trip to New York City today.  I ran 2 laps around Day Pond plus a 0.4 mile extender for 4.2 miles last night.  It was really nice out around 6pm when I ran.  I spent most of the day cleaning the house after 4 days of Daddy Camp pretty much ravaged the place, but I still felt decent on the run.

I was interviewed by Jake Kara, the editor of the Monroe Patch, yesterday.  It must have been his easiest interview, because once I got going, I just couldn't stop rambling on about all of the amazing things that have occurred during my 1,000 mile journey (well, 950 miles to date), especially the connection that I and others have felt with Chase's pure spirit and zest for life.  He said he should be publishing an article next week in advance of the last leg of 1,000 miles on Sept. 1.

I completed miles 947-950 yesterday.  They were sponsored by Scott Szymanski in honor of the following Met players:

Willard Hunter (1962, 1964)
Willie Blair (1998)
Willie Collazo (2007)
Willie Harris (2011)
